Q: How did Sage & Saber come to be?
A: Four years ago I struggled with depression and very low self-esteem in 2020. While trying to cope with a miserable time, I isolated myself in my room and discovered a surprising solace in jewelry making. I then began selling my creations out of the trunk of my car at Kobey’s Swap Meets, waking up at 6 AM on Saturdays to meet customers and learn about what they liked. I would use Post-It notes as price tags and cardboard boxes for my displays.
My love for watches inspired me to incorporate them into my jewelry, crafting contemporary pieces that carried a hint of nostalgia. My focus now is on creating memorable experiences.
After multiple pivots in the beginning, Sage and Saber was the final destination.
Q: What inspired you to start creating jewelry?
A: I've always been drawn to the artistry of jewelry, but I was frustrated by the lack of originality in mass-produced pieces. I also loved being able to turn my visions into life into wearable pieces on the spot.Q: That's quite a journey! What was the turning point?
A: The more I chatted with customers, the more I realized there was a real hunger for unique, personalized jewelry. I knew I had to think bigger. So, I made a bold move – I packed up and headed to New York City with a vision to transform the industry.
Q: How does Sage & Saber stand out in the crowded jewelry market?
A: For us, it's all about the experience. Sage & Saber isn't just a jewelry brand; it's a collaborative journey. We put our customers in the designer's seat. They choose the size, colors, charms, and designs, ensuring each piece is as unique as they are. It's about creating memories together.Q: Any final words for your customers?
A: Absolutely! I want to express my deepest gratitude for all the support we've received. Every purchase, every shared post, and every kind word means the world to us. You're not just buying jewelry; you're becoming part of the Sage & Saber dream. We're excited to continue this journey with you, creating pieces that are as unique and remarkable as you are. With love and gratitude,
